Swim Team

Swim Team Regular season ends June 16th

We offer a swim team program that is unique when compared to most other teams in the area. A majority of our workouts are based on technical training and hydro dynamics. This combination not only helps team members improve their swimming abilities but it also helps them improve their overall strength and stamina for other sports they may be involved in.

  • Group I: 4 – 4:45pm
  • Group II: 4:45 – 5:30pm
  • Group III: 5:30 – 6:15pm
  • Group IV A: 6:30 – 7:30pm
  • Group IV B: 7:30 – 8:30pm

Summer Swim Team: June 27 – July 28

Registration opens June 1!

Since our program is non-competitive and designed to focus on building endurance and improving technique we do not participate in Inter-Club swim meets. Instead our experienced Coaches run intermittent time trials and reward overall individual performance and improvement.
Starting June 27th our Swim Team will practice Monday through Thursday starting at 7:15am. When enrolled in Summer Swim Team you can attend as many days of the week as your schedule allows. Pricing is for the entire 5 week session.

Those who are currently on swim team or have been enrolled in our CAC swim team in the past do not need to try out and will have priority registration. All others will need to schedule a 15 minute tryout.

At the most basic level, each swimmer must complete:

  • 50 yards of Freestyle
  • 50 yards of Backstroke
  • 50 yards of Breaststroke
  • 25 yards of Butterfly
  • Flip turns and dives

Registration opens June 1st. Tryouts will be available from June 20 – 22, between 4 – 6pm. A 15 minute appointment can be scheduled by contacting Head Swim Team Coach, Anna Gally at annag@columbiaathletic.com.

  • GROUP I (Ages 8 – 9) 7:15 – 8am
  • GROUP II (Ages 9 – 10) 7:15 – 8am
  • GROUP III (Ages 11 – 12) 8 – 9am
  • GROUP IV (Ages 13 +) 8 – 9am
