Summer camps are back at CAC - Juanita Bay!
Our 10-week summer camp program is designed to be a resource for families, an outlet for kiddos, and a platform for development, engagement, physical activity and FUN for kids ages 3 to 12.
This year, we’re doing things a little bit different, with both full-day and mini-camp options available. For questions about summer camps contact Programs Director Erin Barr at erinb@columbiaathletic.com. Here’s the full slate of summer camp options:
Registration Rules
Registration is ONLINE and must be received at least 24 hours in advance.
If there is room and you’re dropping in or have registered within 24 hours of the camp day, there is a camp drop in fee of $10 IN ADDITION to the daily camp rate.
Cancellations
For withdrawals or cancellation from camp, a refund/credit will be granted if the withdrawal or cancellation request is received at least 1 week prior to camp.
No refund/credit will be granted with less than 1 week notice. (Exceptions include illness and emergencies.)
Fees
A registration fee of $10 per camp per child, up to 4 camps will be collected at time of online registration. This will be billed to your Membership account or card on file. If you are a Non-Member and do not yet have a card on file, we will reach out for this information. Please note that your child’s spot in camp will not be secured without the registration fee.

FULL DAY SUMMER CAMPS
(Ages 3 – 12, fully potty trained): Campers will enjoy each week with theme-based activities that typically include crafts, sports, swimming, and games. We will also travel to Juanita Beach Park (weather permitting) for a nature walk, free play on the equipment, sand castle building, or another fun adventure. Full day camp runs from 9am to 3:30pm.
Each day, please be sure to pack your camper with a swimsuit, a couple small snacks, a water bottle, appropriate footwear, a change of clothes (optional), and a sack lunch Please also be sure your camper arrives to camp with sunscreen applied.
Week 1: Camp Columbia Kick-Off
Come kick it with Columbia! All the great things you love about summer camp; classic games, relay races, crafts, and more! See you there to start summer the right way!
Dates: June 26 – 30
Week 2: Party in the USA
Celebrate America’s birthday with us with a bang! We will be celebrating all week with epic explosions, science projects, crafts and games. This week is bursting with fun!
Dates: July 5 – 7 (Week of July 4th Wed. – Fri. only)
Fees: $165 + tax Member/$210 + tax Non-member
Week 3: Say ‘YES’ to the Mess
This promises to be the most fun, messiest arts and crafts week ever! All the art inspired activities that are a bit too mess for home will be done here! We will even have a slime making day – sure to be a hit!
Dates: July 10 – 14 Camp is Full, waitlist only
Week 4: Outdoors Adventure Camp
Let’s get outside! Each day we will include a craft, games, and other fun outdoor adventures like nature walks and scavenger hunts as we enjoy the sunshine.
Dates: July 17 – 21 – Camp is Full, waitlist only
Week 5: Workout Warriors
Each day the campers will get to do a special workout just like mom and dad! We will dance like no one is watching with HIGH Fitness instructor Kristen (Monday and Wednesday), explore mindfulness and thoughtfulness with Kid’s Yoga instructor Maylen (Tuesday and Thursday), and run fun circuit workouts with a CAC personal trainer every day!

Week 6: Basketball Camp
This one is brand new to Camp Columbia! Join Coach Brandon Larrieu, a former SPU and Euro League player for a week long clinic that is designed to help your kids advance their basketball skills or learn a new sport! Campers will spend 2 hours with our coach and the rest of the day doing all their camp favorites, including swimming, games, and gym activities. This one is sure to fill up fast so register early!
Please note: This camp has an extra charge.

Week 7: Fantasy Camp
Another new camp to Columbia! Come explore the magical subjects of Astronomy, Wand-making, and Potions. Play an exciting game of Quiditch and enjoy delicious magical world treats! Are you team Gryfindor or Slytherin?
Dates: August 7 – 11 Camp is Full, waitlist only
Week 8: Water Works
Prepare to get soaked! We are doing all things wet and wild this week; water balloon toss, water gun target practice, water brigade, sponge tag, and much more! We will even break out a camper favorite; the Slip ‘n’ Slide! Join us for all things cool on a hot summer day!
Dates: August 14 – 18 Camp is Full, waitlist only
Week 9: Mad Science
Another brand new camp of fun! This week is crazy! We will have all kinds of exciting science projects, like blasting rockets, elephant toothpaste and solar ovens. This one is sure to impress your budding scientists.
Dates: August 21 – 25 Camp is Full, waitlist only
Week 10: Big Summer Blowout!
Campers! This is your last chance to have a blast before school! We will be recapping all of our favorite camp days from the previous themed weeks. This camp won’t disappoint. End summer with a bang!
Dates: August 28 – September 1
MINI-CAMPS

Week 2: Little Picassos
Your “Little Artist” will explore their creativity with engaging crafts, paintings, collage, clay and paper-mache. We will finish camp with a “Gallery Day” where they can show off all their hard work.

This week will be a “Blast” as we head to outer space. Campers will learn about spaceships, planets and stars with fun activities, crafts, and games.

Week 6: Super Heroes
We need all super heroes to grab their capes and masks and get ready to save the day. Campers will play a variety of superhero games, create super powers with arts and crafts projects, and capture evil villains all morning.
Dates: July 31 – August 4
Week 7: Underwater Explorers
Dive deep into fun! This week camp will have a variety of actives that will keep campers excited about our great blue sea! Campers will be creating all kinds of sea creatures and sea life while learning about our oceans.
Dates: August 7 – 11
Week 8: Make a Splash August
Prepare to get soaked! We are doing all things wet and wild this week; water balloon toss, sprinklers, sponge tag, and much more! We will even break out a camper favorite; the Slip ‘N’ Slide! Join us for all things cool on a hot summer day!
Dates: 14 – 18
Week 9: Dinosaurs!
This week will be full of dino fun! We will be digging for dinosaur bones, hunt for dino eggs and do the dinosaur stomp! Your smallest Paleontologist will be sure to be impressed.
Dates: August 21 – 25
Week 10: Pirates & Mermaids
Ahoy mateys and mermaids! Join the Captain and his crew as we spend a week with the pirates and mermaids. Each day, campers will read about both pirates and mermaids and engage in themed crafts. Have fun painting seashells, hunting for treasure, walking the plank and swimming like mermaids.
